"Why are you all so happy?" "Because our lives suck!"

1. “What Do You Do With A B.A. In English?/It Sucks to Be Me” - Composed by ? Performed by the Original Broadway Cast 5:55 From Avenue Q

This is the opening song to the Tony Awarding Winning Best Musical: Avenue Q, show about modern society as told by puppets. The soundtrack from this Sesame Satire is hilarious and fresh. Most of the characters are introduced in this song about lost dreams, hopes, and the comradery of living on an avenue with a bunch of friednly losers.

2. “My Strongest Suit” - Composed by Elton John, Performed by Sherie Rene Scott 5:15 From Aida

Although I don’t like the majority of the music from Aida, this is one song that I do apprecaite. Sherie Rene Scott belts this song about her character’s passion for fashion in a diva-like voice. I actually perfer silly songs like this one to the usual mopey, sad, love songs.

3. “It’s Easy, Mmmkay” - Composed by ?, Performed by Trey Parker from South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut

I personally like South Park ever since it got a little less “Let’s see how far we could push it” to actual smart comedy, and the movie was smart comedy. I had a lot of songs to chose from but since I’m sure everyone’s heard “Uncle F*cka” and “Blame Canada”, and I find Mr. Macky singing very amusing. This lesson about replacing swear words with better words is something we can all learn from.

4. “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” - Composed by ?, Performed by Sarah Brightman 5:54 From Evita

There are a lot of versions of this song, including the famous Madonna cover from the movie version, but Sarah Brightman’s voice suits the song very well, I think. Do I really need to explain why this is in the update?

5. “Elephant Love Song Medley” - Composed by Various, Arrangment by ? , Performed by Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman 4:13 From Moulin Rouge

I had avoided seeing this movie for a long time because it just looked so weird, but I’m glad I finally watched it. This is one of my favourite songs from the soundtrack because of the arrangment of famous songs pertaining to love. Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman sound great together, so that certainly helps. See Charlene and Radia’s Updates for more Moulin Rouge songs

Extra Songs
1. “If You Were Gay” 2:30
2.“Everyone’s A Little Bit Racist” 5:27
- Composed by ? Performed by the Original Broadway Cast From Avenue Q

More songs from Avenue Q! More entertainment this time dealing with touchy subjects like homosexuality and racism all in 2 fun songs! Enjoy!
